The UCLA Department of Geography seeks to fill an Academic Administrator V position in the Geospatial Information Systems & Technologies Program (UCLA Geospatial), overseeing the Master of Applied Geospatial Information Systems & Technologies (MAGIST) program and GIS certificate offerings. Primary responsibilities include supporting the Chair and GIS&T Director in program management and operations oversight, teaching courses within the programs (fully online, asynchronous with synchronous office hours), developing and managing online course content, leading curricular initiatives and planning, overseeing student and participant affairs and support services, implementing academic and instructional initiatives, increasing program enrollment across UCLA, UC system, and external communities, and collaborating with UCLA Extension and Graduate Division. Required qualifications include a Ph.D. by hire date, demonstrated experience teaching geographic information systems (GIS), online instruction and online course development, and demonstrated expertise in geographic information systems. Salary range: $116,995-$131,906.
