Grand Valley State University is inviting applications for a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Affiliate Faculty position in the Department of Environment, Geography, and Earth Sciences to begin Fall 2026. The primary responsibility is to teach GIS concepts and analyses at introductory or advanced levels. The position involves developing and delivering GIS curriculum, supervising student projects, and contributing to the department's geospatial education mission. Teaching may include courses in Introduction to GIS, Advanced GIS, Spatial Analysis, Remote Sensing, and related topics. Applicants are expected to have at least a master's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Natural Resources Management, Geography, Environmental Science, or a closely related field. Experience teaching GIS at the college level is preferred. Knowledge of Esri ArcGIS software and current geospatial technologies is required. This is a part-time, non-tenure-track teaching position located in Allendale, Michigan.
