The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group is looking for an active undergraduate student in Geography, or a closely related field (Geospatial Sciences, Spatial Data Science, GIS, Urban Planning with GIS concentration, or similar) to support geospatial analysis and AI-enabled spatial modeling for digital infrastructure and connectivity projects across Latin America and the Caribbean. This internship will contribute to strengthening the Bank's use of advanced geospatial tools and artificial intelligence for infrastructure planning, connectivity diagnostics, and project monitoring. The 2026 Summer Internship Program runs full-time (40 hours per week) from June 16 to August 15, 2026 -- these dates are fixed and cannot be modified. This is a competitive paid opportunity. Eligibility requirements include being an active undergraduate student in Geography, Geospatial Sciences, Spatial Data Science, GIS, Urban Planning with GIS concentration or related disciplines from an accredited University, with graduation date after the internship period. Must be a national of an IDB member country. Fluency in English required, with working knowledge of one other Bank language (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) as a plus. The position is based in Washington, D.C.
