Applications Technician II (S) - GIS Specialist

This position with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services involves creating digital and large-format printed maps for GIS requests and incident response mapping. Key responsibilities include performing data quality control on data maintained in enterprise databases, online, and other formats, and developing scripts to automate spatial analysis processes. Required qualifications include an Associate degree in a Computer Science/IT field, or a high school diploma/GED with two years of technology experience, knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise (ArcGIS Online, Survey123, Field Maps, Experience Builder), Python programming capabilities for ArcGIS, and experience with agricultural disaster incident mapping in GIS. The candidate must reside in Wake County or adjacent counties or relocate at their own expense; no state vehicle is provided. Compensation $56,772-$64,000 annually.
