Position Type: Full-time, Tenure-track
Teaching Load: 12 credit hours per semester
The Department of Geography and Geology at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor with broad training in physical/environmental geography and expertise in the teaching and application of geospatial technologies.
The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate programs in Community Sustainability and Geospatial Science and develop future curricula for a growing program.
Primary Teaching Responsibilities:
- Introductory-level physical geography and environmental sustainability courses
- Remote sensing and GIS courses
- Upper-level courses in geospatial science such as cartography, spatial modeling, and geospatial data science
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in Geography, Geospatial Science, or related field
- Expertise in physical/environmental geography
- Expertise in geospatial technologies (GIS, remote sensing, cartography)
- Teaching experience at the college/university level
