Assistant Professor (UAS Remote Sensing and Geospatial AI) - University of Georgia Location: Athens, Georgia Position Type: Tenure-track, Full-time (9-month academic appointment) Start Date: August 1, 2026 Posting Number: F2584P Application Deadline: January 5, 2026 for full consideration; open until filled This is a joint position between the Department of Geography and the Institute for Artificial Intelligence (IAI) at the University of Georgia. The position seeks a scholar to leverage emerging UAS and AI technologies to develop novel sensing and onboard processing frameworks for Earth observation applications. The role combines research and instruction across both units, with tenure housed in Geography's Franklin College of Arts and Sciences.
