Cartographic Technician

Serves as the lead cartographic and GIS technician, managing the Command's GeoBase Program through development, maintenance, and oversight. Applies cartographic, GIS, and surveying expertise to procure materials for AFRC GIS development. Uses CAD/GIS and database skills to create and manage geospatial themes and data coverages. Develops and monitors geospatial data production for enterprise GIS and map generation. Maintains automated GIS production system integrity using cartographic knowledge. Performs surveying using equipment including total stations, GPS, and data collectors. Requires comprehensive geospatial knowledge covering cartography, GIS, remote sensing, and data visualization. Must have digital CAD/GIS data production and database management expertise, proficiency with AutoDesk MAP, AutoCAD, ArcGIS software, SQL and relational database systems knowledge, and surveying standards and engineering/architectural drafting skills. Salary: $78,091 - $101,524 per year (GS-11). Term appointment through September 30, 2027. Secret security clearance required.
