The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Department of Homeland Security, is seeking an Emergency Management Specialist (Geospatial) in Washington, DC. This GS-12 position is located in the Response Planning and Exercise Division in the Response Geospatial Office and performs key program implementation of FEMA geographic information systems (GIS) initiatives and operations. Responsibilities include leading critical directorate-level geospatial program initiatives, producing cartographic products using GIS to analyze datasets and inform decisions, designing and managing geospatial data storage systems, and managing data-related GIS projects meeting deadlines. Required qualifications: One year of specialized experience at GS-11 level demonstrating GIS cartographic product creation, geospatial data system design or management, and data-related project management. Special requirements: Top Secret/SCI security clearance required, drug testing mandatory, 25% or less travel, telework eligible, subject to emergency deployment with minimal notice. This position was restricted to current FEMA employees and career transition eligible employees. Salary range: $101,401 to $131,826 per year.
