Field Technician

Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space (FoHVOS) is hiring up to 8 Field Technicians to assist the Stewardship Director with invasive species control, rare species monitoring, ecological assessments, and habitat maintenance across New Jersey's Hopewell Township. The position involves GIS mapping, assisting with report preparation, herbicide application (training provided), video creation, and data management. Applicants should possess knowledge of GPS/GIS and careful data collection and management. This is a temporary seasonal position (10-week or 20-week options, June-August or June-October 2026). Requires a valid driver's license and physical capability for demanding outdoor work in varied weather conditions. Pay: $20.00/hour, 40-hour work week. Application deadline: March 6, 2026.
