If selected you'll serve as a GIS Specialist providing a range of geospatial support as a member of the Veterinary Services CEAH Geospatial Analytics, Products, and Services (GAPS) Unit. The position involves participating on a multi-disciplinary team to support animal health, animal disease outbreaks and mitigation, epidemiology investigations, risk identification and analyses, geospatial analyses and modeling, and cartographic/map production. Basic requirement: a degree in geography or a related physical or social science (geology, meteorology, economics, statistics, sociology, anthropology, political science, history, cartography, computer science, urban studies, or planning) that included at least 24 semester hours in geography or related fields. For the GS-12 level, applicants must also have one year of specialized experience.
