The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR), Division of Taxpayer Services, is seeking a Geographic Information Specialist. The role involves creating and maintaining statewide GIS-based tax area code maps. Core duties include integrating spatial data, coordinating with stakeholders on annexations and property valuations, resolving map discrepancies, updating GIS layers for taxing districts, and ensuring compliance with Arizona tax statutes. Required qualifications include working knowledge of GIS systems, spatial data, and database management systems, proficiency with ArcGIS Desktop/Pro and enterprise software, PC and Microsoft Office competency, ability to read legal descriptions and determine tax area codes, and two years GIS and analysis experience minimum. Must pass comprehensive background checks including FBI fingerprinting. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Geology or Physical Geography with GIS emphasis, prior ArcGIS Pro experience, COGO mapping technology background. Remote options available.
