Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst

The St. Louis County Office of the Assessor (Division of Assessment) is seeking two Geographic Information System (GIS) Analysts (Job Number 2026-00115). These positions perform skilled digital mapping, provide data analysis for internal and external clients, develop standards and procedures, and create and maintain geodatabases. Core responsibilities include creating and maintaining geodatabases; performing spatial data analysis; developing mapping standards; producing both printed maps and web-based GIS applications; providing technical assistance for the County Enterprise GIS; and resolving application issues for users. Minimum qualifications: a Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, Urban Planning, or a related field and one year of relevant experience. A committee evaluates candidates on education, experience, supplemental answers, and references; candidates must score 70+ to advance, and the five highest-ranked finalists advance to the department director for the final hiring decision.
