San Antonio Water System (SAWS) is hiring a Geographic Information Systems Analyst in its GIS Department to handle complex spatial analysis and development of enterprise data layers, including GIS tool development using ArcGIS. Essential functions: design, implement, and maintain digital maps, reports, and data; perform spatial analyses using ESRI programs; create GIS tools in VBA, XML, Python, or similar languages; develop feature datasets and technical documentation; establish QA/QC procedures for data management; provide training on GIS software and web mapping applications; and support system implementations and upgrades. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, Management Information Systems, or related field, plus three years of progressively responsible GIS analysis experience including mapping products and business processes. Preferred qualifications include GISP or PMP certification, programming knowledge, and Enterprise Geodatabase experience for the Information Systems specialty; and open-source satellite datasets, machine learning in geospatial analysis, cloud computing, and LiDAR experience for the Water Resources specialty. Salary $62,109.00 - $106,538.00 annually.
