Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst

Under limited supervision, the Geographic Information Systems Analyst performs detailed technical work and supports the ongoing maintenance and dissemination of data in the GIS environment. Creates address assignments on new and existing construction and participates in the Site Plan process to validate new road names using Bluebeam software. Researches deeds, plats and other legal documentation, resolves parcel issues, and collects data in the field using GPS units. Creates and maintains municipal feature classes in ESRI ArcPro to support NextGen 911 and the local CAD Dispatch System. Designs and maintains thematic maps and develops basic GIS applications using AGOL to deliver data to internal stakeholders. Requires Associate's degree in geography, cartography, GIS studies or closely related field OR equivalent combination of experience and training, plus two to four years of experience with geographic information systems. Valid driver's license required. Salary: $43,909 - $52,686/year.
