GIS Engineer position with the U.S. Northern Command at Fort Eustis, Virginia. Requires interdisciplinary knowledge in data acquisition and analysis, photogrammetry, aerial photography, digital imagery, cartography, image processing, geodesy including Global Position System (GPS) technology, resource management and environmental studies. Serves as a technical specialist to all directorates and staff members who request various mapping products, geospatial web applications and digital databases. Serves as a vital resource in supporting geospatial data needs by collaborating with agencies and ensuring the production of accurate and well-documented graphical and database products. Supports JTF-CS by providing GIS products for plan preparation and response efforts. Requires knowledge of digital imagery, geospatial formats, processing techniques, computer software, geospatial workstations and NGA requirements including web development capabilities within ArcGIS Server and Portal environments. Knowledge of hazard modeling technologies such as HPAC and IWMDT for CBRN consequence management. Requires Top Secret clearance. GS-12 level, starting at $90,838 per year. Permanent, full-time position.
