Geographical Information Systems Adjunct - Brightpoint Community College Location: Chesterfield, Virginia Position Type: Part-time Faculty (Adjunct) Employer: Virginia's Community Colleges System (VCCS) / Brightpoint Community College Brightpoint Community College seeks a part-time faculty member to teach evening courses in the areas of Geospatial Technology using ArcGIS software suite. The adjunct instructor will provide instruction in Geographic Information Systems courses as part of Brightpoint's Geospatial Technology program. Responsibilities: - Teach evening courses in Geospatial Technology - Provide instruction using the ArcGIS software suite - Evaluate student performance and provide feedback - Maintain currency in geospatial technology field Teaching Limits: Adjunct faculty teaching is limited to a maximum of 8 credit hours in the summer semester, 12 credit hours in the fall semester, and 12 credit hours in the spring semester. These limits are for total number of credit hours taught across all Virginia Community Colleges (VCCS). Required Qualifications: - Master's degree in geography, GIS, or related field, OR relevant professional experience - Proficiency with ArcGIS software suite - Experience in geospatial technology applications Skills: ArcGIS, geospatial technology, GIS, cartography, spatial analysis
