Salary: $88.30 per hour
College of the Canyons seeks adjunct faculty for Geography/Geographic Information Systems (GIS) instruction. Teaching assignments may occur at Valencia or Canyon Country campuses or other college locations. Part-time positions are as-needed positions and do not accrue rights to tenure, offering flexible scheduling while serving diverse student populations across transfer, general education, and vocational programs.

Qualifications & Requirements (must possess ONE of the following):
- Unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Geography/GIS
- Master's degree in geography
- Bachelor's in geography AND Master's in geology, history, meteorology, or oceanography
- Master's in related discipline AND upper-division or graduate coursework in another constituent discipline
- Equivalency option: Any Master's degree PLUS 24 semester units in the discipline at the upper division and graduate level, a minimum of which must be 12 graduate level semester units
All degrees must come from accredited institutions recognized by the American Council on Post-Secondary Education.

Assignments include Monday through Friday (day and evening), as well as Saturday classes. Online teaching requires full certification (36 hours equivalent). Position remains open until filled.
