Geomatics Engineering Intern

Trimble's Applanix Division, specializing in advanced positioning solutions, is seeking a Geomatics Engineering Intern for a 16-month co-op position. The intern will support the Mobile Mapping team in system tests, integrations, and enhancement of mapping technologies. Key responsibilities include assisting with testing and validation of GNSS/INS positioning systems, supporting mobile mapping system integration and calibration, processing and analyzing geospatial data from mobile mapping platforms, assisting with software testing for positioning and mapping applications, conducting quality analysis on collected survey data, and creating documentation for test procedures and results. This role provides hands-on experience with cutting-edge geospatial positioning technology used in surveying, autonomous vehicles, and mobile mapping applications. Requires enrollment in a Geomatics Engineering, Geospatial Science, Surveying, Computer Science, or related program. Familiarity with GNSS technology, coordinate systems, and geospatial data formats preferred. Experience with Python, MATLAB, or GIS software is an asset.
