WWF Germany is seeking a Geospatial Analyst to advance Conservation Data Science, GIS, and Remote Sensing for biodiversity conservation in the Congo Basin. This position involves acquisition, organization, analysis, and management of geospatial and remote sensing data from multiple sources and creation of a DataHUB. Key responsibilities include creating data visualizations, monitoring systems with maps and dashboards on WWF's ArcGIS Online GLOBL HUB or other platforms, supporting development of land cover change assessment with existing scripts on Google Earth Engine (GEE) SEPAL for monthly risk maps of zoonotic outbreaks, developing wildlife corridor modelling and correlation analysis, maintaining and organizing spatial databases for conservation monitoring, processing satellite imagery for deforestation and land use change detection, and supporting field teams with GIS training and technical assistance. Requirements include good knowledge of the ESRI product range, especially ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro, or open-source GIS software suites such as QGIS. Desirable experience with spatial analysis and modelling for environmental issues, remote sensing, and knowledge of forest, biodiversity, One Health, and the Congo Basin. Fluency in English required with knowledge of French and German desirable. Based in Berlin, Germany or remote.
