Geospatial Data Operations Specialist (Fixed-Term)

onX is seeking two 6-month fixed-term Geospatial Data Operations Specialists who have a passion for geospatial data and technology that enables customers' outdoor adventures. As a Geospatial Data Operations Specialist, you will provide support for core data types that power the suite of onX mobile apps including onX Backcountry, onX Offroad, and onX Hunt. Essential duties include manual curation within onX's web-based GIS editing platform of high-value datasets, processing spatial data within established processing pipelines, conducting quality control checks on spatial data to ensure accuracy and completeness, communicating with team leads to address issues, critically analyzing existing processes and making suggestions for improvements, and providing support for ad hoc data processing needs. Requires Certificate, Associate's Degree or Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Analysis or closely related field, experience with desktop geospatial software such as QGIS or ArcMap, ability to follow process documentation, detail-oriented and highly organized. Compensation: $25.75/hour. Position can be performed from onX corporate offices in Missoula or Bozeman, Montana, or remotely from an onX Basecamp or Connection Hub.
