Sanborn Map Company is seeking a Geospatial Sensor Operator for its Flight Operations department. This part-time position (up to 1,600 hours annually) involves the operation of computer-managed flight navigation systems, GPS geodetic base stations, and a combination of E/O sensors, Lidar sensors, and other related systems aboard aerial mapping missions. The role requires extensive travel throughout North America, though it is remote approximately 95% of working hours. Education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent plus an associate degree or certificate in a relevant field such as math, computer science, or engineering, or equivalent work experience. Key skills include proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, knowledge of GIS software (Esri or QGIS), and technical aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting. Additional requirements include a valid driver's license, the ability to work extended weekly schedules, willingness to work outdoors in various conditions, and the candidate must be at least 21 years old.
