This role supports DOTD's geospatial initiatives by managing, analyzing, and delivering geographic data for transportation planning and operations across Louisiana. Key Duties: Execute GIS data entry, editing, and quality assurance procedures. Develop and maintain GIS databases, standards, and documentation. Generate maps, datasets, reports, and web applications. Conduct spatial analysis supporting transportation programs. Support remote sensing projects (LiDAR, aerial photography, satellite imagery). Maintain Linear Referencing Systems and Roads & Highways data. Troubleshoot GIS software and system issues. Implement new GIS tools and workflows. Qualifications (Choose One): Two years GIS, digital mapping, surveying, or aerial photography experience; OR Twelve semester hours in computer science/GIS plus one year relevant experience; OR Bachelor's degree with twelve semester hours in GIS-related coursework.
