GIS Analyst 2

The State of Alaska Department of Fish & Game, Division of Sport Fish is seeking a GIS Analyst 2. The position focuses on annual revision to the Alaska Department of Fish & Game's Anadromous Waters Catalog, involving processing hundreds of nominations, performing spatial edits, and producing digital maps and data layers for statewide use. Requirements: Any combination of post-secondary education and progressively responsible experience in GIS operations, data collection, cartography, computer science, geography, or related fields. Candidates should demonstrate competencies in geospatial science, attention to detail, self-management, learning ability, and cartography knowledge. Candidates advancing to interviews must provide a portfolio of three or more GIS projects they created and three professional references (at least one supervisor). Valid driver's license required.
