GIS Analyst I (Geospatial Analyst I)

The State of South Carolina Department of Environmental Services is hiring three GIS Analyst I positions for entry-level geospatial work. Primary duties include collecting, processing, analyzing and maintaining basic spatial and tabular data using ArcGIS Pro and creating cartographic products for bureau operations and emergency response support. Minimum qualification: High school diploma with relevant geospatial/geography experience OR associate's degree in geography. Essential skills include knowledge of geospatial concepts and cartographic design, proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Pro and mapping platforms (ArcGIS Online, Enterprise, Survey123, StoryMaps), effective oral and written communication, and ability to establish collaborative working relationships. Preferred: Commercial Drone Pilot License (P107). Full-time position, Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM.
