GIS Analyst I

Tukman Geospatial is hiring a GIS Analyst I to support numerous vegetation mapping projects in California for natural resource management. The GIS Analyst will play a pivotal role in providing accurate and actionable vegetation maps for natural resource management in California. Responsibilities include geospatial data processing, vegetation classification and mapping, quality assurance/quality control of GIS data, creating cartographic products, and supporting field data collection efforts. Tukman Geospatial specializes in providing geospatial mapping, analysis, and tools to support land stewardship and informed decision-making for land management, with services including vegetation and land cover mapping, wildland fuels mapping, and GIS analysis. Required qualifications include a degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field, proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS software, experience with vegetation or land cover mapping preferred, familiarity with remote sensing data and techniques. The position supports conservation and natural resource management projects statewide.
