GIS Analyst, Principal

The Town of Queen Creek, Arizona is hiring a Principal GIS Analyst to lead the town's enterprise GIS operations. This senior-level position oversees GIS strategy, system architecture, and data management across all municipal departments. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing enterprise GIS solutions, managing ArcGIS Enterprise and Online environments, developing web mapping applications for public and internal use, performing advanced spatial analyses to support town planning and development, creating and maintaining geodatabases for infrastructure and land use data, developing automation scripts using Python and ArcPy, coordinating with IT on GIS infrastructure and security, mentoring junior GIS staff, managing vendor relationships and software licenses, and presenting GIS capabilities and findings to town leadership. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, computer science, or related field plus significant experience in municipal GIS operations. Advanced knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS platform, geodatabase administration, web GIS development, and Python scripting required. Experience with utility and land management GIS applications preferred.
