GIS Analyst Senior

The City of Milwaukee Department of Administration - Information & Technology Management Division is hiring a Senior GIS Analyst to serve as a technical resource providing mapping, data services, and geographical information system (GIS) process, discipline, and architectural leadership across city departments. Key responsibilities: establish GIS standards and solutions for departments; administer and maintain enterprise ArcGIS environments; design automation and workflows using Python; provide technical documentation and support to GIS users across the organization; collaborate with departments on cartographic and analytic deliverables; help guide GIS strategy and best practices for the City. Education and experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with relevant programming and GIS coursework, plus two years of professional GIS analyst experience using ESRI ArcGIS. Core competencies: Python scripting and SQL Server knowledge; ArcGIS software proficiency; technical communication abilities; problem-solving and independent work capability.
