GIS Analyst - Utility Administration

Under general supervision, this role involves advanced technical and professional level work in planning, analyzing, and designing methods and procedures for Geographic Information System (GIS) development and applications. Department: Utility Administration. Key Responsibilities: - GIS application data entry and contract development deliverables - Build, edit, and manage GIS data layers - Customize GIS software to meet user needs - Import, export, and translate data between graphic file formats - Conduct data research and quality control functions - Create custom map products and analyze spatial data - Design and create reports from spatial analysis - Provide training and support on GIS applications to department personnel - Operate and maintain GIS workstations, digitizers, and plotters - Interpret legal documents and apply to GIS-based data maintenance - Conduct field surveys and evaluate conditions using engineering equipment - Participate in database enhancements and special projects Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree from a four-year institution with major coursework in GIS, Geography, Government Administration, Computer Science, Planning, Engineering, or related field (OR progressively responsible GIS Analyst experience substitutable year-for-year) - Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible GIS experience - Valid Florida Driver's License with acceptable driving record Full-Time Exempt position.
