GIS Analyst

Advanced technical work utilizing GIS to create and maintain roadway networks, address location databases, and spatially enabled data layers supporting the E911 emergency response system in Alachua County. Primary Responsibilities: Analyze existing data for quality and NENA standards conformance. Maintain and develop geodatabases for the E911 department. Perform quality control data analysis and historical call reviews. Conduct network and spatial analysis supporting E911 and Fire/EMS planning. Develop computer-based support applications. Create and maintain street system maps and databases. Provide technical GIS expertise to county staff and public. Manage Spatial Data Engine and file Geodatabases. Use Python and Model Builder for geoprocessing automation. Generate analytical maps and computer plots as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in GIS, computer graphics, mapping, or CAD plus one year related experience (or equivalent combination). Valid Florida driver's license required. Motor Vehicle Record must meet Alachua County policy standards. Salary: $29.62/hour.
