The City of Cape Coral, Florida's seventh-largest city with over 1,500 full-time employees, is seeking a GIS Analyst for the Public Works Department, Permitting and Planning Division. This position performs planning, development, and production of graphic, digital, and printed materials; designs, creates, and maintains datasets for the City's enterprise geodatabase; and writes metadata documenting data input and maintenance. The GIS Analyst provides GIS project coordination including project scope, data design, collection processes, and presentation methods, and creates interactive websites benefiting departments and the public. The role manages the asset management system (Cartegraph) for the Public Works Department, overseeing user roles, permissions, hardware, and software upgrades, and provides user support and assistance developing data collection procedures. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Planning, Public Administration, or related field (or an Associate degree with four additional years of related experience); five years of experience in GIS data manipulation and analysis; three years of experience using Cartegraph or similar asset management system; and ESRI ArcGIS Certification or ESRI training certificates covering data editing, essential workflows, and GIS mapping.
