GIS Analyst

This role supports a team of Geospatial Information System professionals in a production Utility Network environment for Houston Water's Regulatory Compliance and Utility Development branch. The position focuses on delivering water and wastewater data to the Houston Public Works GIS enterprise system. Responsibilities include proficiency in ArcGIS Pro 3.2+ desktop editing and mapping, performing advanced data analysis using ArcGIS Pro, Portal, and ArcGIS Online, digitizing ESRI Utility Network Model v5 water/wastewater systems with QC support, leveraging Python and FME tools to enhance workflows, participating in weekly on-call GIS schedule for after-hours support, and providing technical leadership on GIS enterprise systems and geospatial solutions. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Science, Planning, Geography, Computer Science, or related field. Professional GIS experience may substitute for degree on a year-for-year basis.
