The City of Minneapolis Information Technology Department is seeking a GIS Analyst to deliver GIS enterprise infrastructure services to the organization, enabling advanced analytics for decision-makers while consulting departments on GIS applications. Key responsibilities include managing GIS spatial data provision with quality assurance oversight, designing and overseeing the GIS technical environment (ArcGIS Server, ArcIMS, ArcGIS Desktop), supporting enterprise business models for improved citizen services, deploying spatial solutions and web applications, administering ArcSDE for Oracle and SQL databases, providing complex GIS analysis for departments, researching and implementing new GIS technology releases, and managing consultants on project delivery and budgets. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Computer Science, Cartography, Geography, or closely related field, plus five years of progressively responsible work applying GIS technology to support decision-making and public policy formulation. Must have in-depth ESRI technology expertise, geo-processing and cartographic design knowledge, data conversion and translation techniques, SQL proficiency for automation and workflow management, and ArcGIS Pro/Enterprise and spatial data management proficiency. This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range of $81,381 to $111,990 annually. On-site only, union represented by Minneapolis Professional Employees Association.
