GIS Analyst

The GIS Analyst provides GIS enterprise infrastructure services to the organization allowing advanced analytic tools for decision makers, building business relationships and consulting departments on the use of GIS. This position is in the Information Technology department. Key Responsibilities: - Manage spatial data provision and GIS technical environment oversight - Design and maintain GIS infrastructure including software, hardware, and network systems - Support enterprise business models enabling departments to apply GIS capabilities - Deploy spatial solutions and web applications - Oversee data management and stewardship institutionalization - Administer ArcSDE for Oracle and SQL systems - Conduct complex GIS analysis for departments and public - Research and implement new GIS technology releases - Manage consultants on project delivery - Maintain and enhance geospatial datasets supporting NG911 systems - Perform spatial analysis for emergency response operations - Collaborate with 911 dispatch centers and public safety agencies - Develop web-based mapping applications and dashboards - Conduct quality assurance and control of mission-critical GIS data Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Computer Science, Cartography, Geography, or closely related field. Experience: Five years of progressively responsible work experience applying GIS technology to support decision-making and public policy formulation.
