GIS Analyst

The City of Shelby, NC Engineering Services / GIS Division is seeking a GIS Analyst to perform complex technical and analytical GIS tasks. Responsibilities include designing and generating a variety of GIS products including high quality maps, map templates, geodatabases, GIS web services, tables, and reports while working on multiple concurrent projects. The position involves creating GIS products, managing geospatial datasets, performing spatial analysis, and supporting web mapping applications. Requires Bachelor's degree emphasizing geography, GIS, or related fields, along with considerable municipal GIS experience. Professional certifications and a valid North Carolina driver's license are preferred. Technical proficiency with ArcGIS Pro, Python scripting, and geodatabase management is essential. Considerable knowledge of GIS applications, database management, and modern GIS tools required.
