The Environmental Integrity Project seeks a GIS Analyst to support environmental enforcement and compliance work. Key responsibilities include: compiling, analyzing, managing, visualizing, and mapping data related to air and water pollution, environmental justice, and industrial infrastructure; managing and updating public-facing databases including Oilandgaswatch.org and Ashtracker.org; creating informational dashboards and ArcGIS story maps to communicate environmental findings; evaluating permit applications and public records from federal and state regulatory agencies; submitting information requests to government agencies; and communicating technical findings to both technical and general audiences. Required qualifications: four years of relevant professional experience and a bachelor's degree in geography, environmental sciences, environmental engineering, political science, public policy, pre-law, public health, or related field; proficiency with GIS software (ArcGIS or QGIS); strong skills in Microsoft 365 applications; experience reviewing environmental data from public records and EPA databases preferred; excellent analytical, research, writing, and communication skills; valid US driver's license; passion for environmental protection and justice. Salary range: $62,000-$82,000 annually. Full-time position. Position open until approximately March 24, 2026. Washington, DC or remote.
