GIS Analyst

The Isle of Wight County Information Technology department seeks a GIS Analyst to interface with county staff, citizens, and businesses to apply geospatial solutions to their needs. Key responsibilities include maintaining expertise in GIS processes, ensuring county data currency, training staff on GIS systems, and producing map products for various stakeholders. The incumbent manages GIS data architecture, updates core data layers (parcels, addresses, streets), answers technical questions, processes purchase orders, handles budget tracking, and provides computer support for both GIS and non-GIS technical issues. Supports planning, public safety, public works, and assessment operations. Requires Bachelor's degree in Geography or related field with 2 years of relevant geospatial technology experience, plus GIS certification or equivalent skill demonstration. Open on a continuous basis until filled. Salary $55,124 - $73,039 annually.
