GIS Analyst

King County, Washington is seeking a GIS Analyst to support the county's geospatial infrastructure and services. This position involves developing and maintaining GIS applications, performing spatial analysis, and providing technical support to county departments. Key responsibilities include designing and developing web mapping applications using ArcGIS JavaScript API and Experience Builder, maintaining and administering ArcGIS Enterprise environments, performing complex spatial analyses for transportation, environmental, and public health programs, developing automated data processing workflows using Python and ArcPy, managing county parcel and cadastral data layers, creating cartographic products and data visualizations for reports and presentations, supporting emergency management with real-time GIS capabilities, training department staff on GIS tools and best practices, and coordinating with regional GIS partners on data sharing initiatives. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, computer science, or related field, plus 3+ years of professional GIS experience. Advanced proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS platform required. Experience with web development (JavaScript, HTML/CSS), Python programming, and database management preferred. Knowledge of local government operations and regional data standards a plus.
