GIS Analyst

Sanborn Map Company, founded in 1866, is seeking a GIS Analyst for its Operations department to provide technical expertise in geospatial data processing, quality control, analysis, and data management in support of client projects. The role involves working with geospatial tools including Esri ArcGIS and open-source platforms to perform spatial analysis, data collection, automation, QA/QC, and mapping. Responsibilities include creating web-based cartographic maps, reports, and presentations, and translating customer requirements into technical solutions. Required qualifications include an Associate's degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field (Bachelor's preferred), 2-3+ years of professional GIS analyst experience, proficiency with ArcGIS Pro, Portal, ArcGIS Online, and QGIS/PostGIS, and strong communication and organizational skills. Preferred qualifications include GIS transportation project experience, Linear Referencing Systems knowledge, Python scripting, FME, and GISP certification. The position is in-office daily in Colorado Springs, CO or Charlotte, NC.
