GIS Coordinator

The City of Hampton is seeking a GIS Coordinator to perform complex and integrated computerized GIS analysis, design complex geospatial applications and web-based mapping solutions, and identify departmental needs for the City's GIS, mapping, and related data systems. Key responsibilities include overseeing the City's geographic information systems infrastructure, designing and developing custom GIS applications and web mapping solutions, managing enterprise geodatabases and spatial data, coordinating GIS activities across multiple city departments, performing advanced spatial analysis for urban planning and infrastructure management, developing training programs for GIS users throughout the organization, managing GIS software licensing and system administration, and establishing data standards and quality control procedures. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Urban Planning, or related field with significant professional GIS experience. Advanced knowledge of Esri ArcGIS platform, web development technologies (JavaScript, Python), and database management required. GISP certification preferred. Strong project management and communication skills essential.
