GIS Coordinator

Responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing and maintaining Geographic Information System (GIS) based solutions to meet Enterprise County and departmental needs. Manages the technical, administrative, and professional activities of the County GIS, including hardware, software, applications, data maintenance, training and resources. Exercises considerable initiative and independent judgment. Coordinates special projects and collaborates with other departments. Manages GIS mapping and database systems. Administers the GIS enterprise geodatabase. Oversees GIS resource procurement. Maintains quality assurance procedures. Requires Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geographic Information Science, Engineering, Planning, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field plus five years of experience in enterprise GIS mapping and database software. Must be GISP or obtain GISP Certification within one year of hire.
