Stewards Individual Placements, a program of Conservation Legacy, is hiring a GIS Cultural Resources and Web Mapping Steward through AmeriCorps to support the National Park Service's National Capital Region's Commercial Services Program in Washington, DC. The role involves developing geospatial datasets and ArcGIS interfaces for concession and lease locations within National Parks across the region. Key responsibilities include compiling inventory of concession and lease locations; creating new geospatial content to enhance oversight of commercial operations; data collection, management, and mapping of park concessions; geodatabase design aligned with NPS standards; web application development and deployment; user training across multiple park units; and supporting cross-park collaboration on commercial services data. Located at the National Capital Regional Office, 1100 Ohio Dr SW, Washington, DC. Compensation: living allowance of $600/week, plus $440/week additional benefit, plus $1,956.35 Segal AmeriCorps Education Award. Requirements: U.S. citizenship or permanent residency; high school diploma or equivalent; ages 18+; enrolled in higher education or within two years of graduation. Preferred: advanced GIS skills (ArcGIS Pro, geodatabases); geodatabase design and metadata experience; federal security clearance eligibility.
