GIS Developer/Analyst

AECOM is seeking a GIS Developer/Analyst to work onsite in San Jose, CA for a transportation agency client as part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering customized geospatial solutions and advanced data analytics. The selected candidate will play a major role in designing, developing, and maintaining custom GIS applications and tools using Esri products or potentially open-source software, collaborating with transportation planners, engineers, field workers, and analysts to understand data needs and translate them into actionable GIS solutions. The role serves as technical lead in initiatives involving ETL of data to support advanced analytical work using Big Data. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining accurate geospatial datasets, maps, and reports using ArcGIS Online and other GIS software, conducting data analysis to support transportation planning, design, and maintenance projects, and developing automated workflows for data processing. Requirements include proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS software, experience with Python scripting, SQL databases, and web mapping technologies. Knowledge of transportation systems and related data preferred.
