GIS Developer/Analyst

San Mateo County Transit District is hiring a GIS Developer/Analyst II responsible for complete systems life cycle management activities including analysis, design, implementation, and support of geospatial applications. The position manages both Esri and open-source GIS technologies integrated into enterprise systems for transit operations, planning, and asset management. Responsibilities: maintain and develop ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online environments; build web mapping applications and dashboards; design ETL workflows between transit systems and GIS; support spatial analysis for service planning and operations; develop integrations using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Python, React, and Vue.js; manage PostgreSQL and other geospatial databases; document technical workflows and provide internal training. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field; five years managing enterprise geographic information systems; strong communication skills; technical proficiency in ArcGIS Pro/Online, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Python, React, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, and geospatial databases. Preferred: public sector/transportation experience; field data collection expertise; data integration platform experience; California driver's license. Located in Millbrae, California.
