Prince William County's Geospatial Technology Services program is seeking an experienced GIS Developer to be part of the Systems and Solutions Team within the Department of Information Technology. The position involves working with an advanced team of GIS professionals to provide GIS technical support and forward-thinking subject matter expertise. Key responsibilities include addressing GIS service requests and project tickets, maintaining GIS processes and workflows, troubleshooting custom GIS applications and scripts, ArcGIS system administration across virtual servers and databases, software development using modern programming languages, providing technical guidance and consultation, project management and stakeholder communication, developing technical documentation and architecture diagrams, leading team meetings and coordinating work sessions, and driving GIS strategic objectives. Requires high school diploma/GED plus 7 years of progressive GIS technical experience at programmer/developer level or higher. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or related field, advanced ArcGIS expertise, programming/scripting proficiency, SDLC knowledge, enterprise GIS environment experience. Salary: $82,777 - $111,033/year. Hybrid work with minimum one day in-office.
