GIS Field Technician

NV5 is actively recruiting a GIS Field Technician who possesses sound expertise in geospatial technologies and analytic methodologies. Work is performed onsite at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) in Arlington, VA. Responsibilities include improving the accuracy and reliability of existing engineering-related GIS data, digitizing paper records such as floor plans, as-built drawings, and utility location information, and ingesting data into the existing GIS system, collecting GPS readings from locations around the cemetery using ANC GPS equipment to augment data in the GIS, and working with ANC's Engineering team to identify missing or incomplete feature attributes and reference paper and digital information to correct and complete existing GIS data. The technician must have exceptional planning, critical thinking, analytical and communication skills, must work well in a team environment and be self-motivated. Candidates must be eligible for federal security clearance (DoD) and proof of U.S. Citizenship is required. Salary range: $26-$40/hour.
