GIS Intern - Tucson, AZ

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a GIS Intern for Summer 2026 to support their Southwest sub-region, ideally based in their Tucson, Arizona office. This is a full-time (40 hours per week), temporary position running from early June through mid-August 2026. The intern will assist veteran GIS professionals with cartography and data management to support environmental projects managed by archaeologists, biologists, planners, and more. Candidates should be currently enrolled in a college or university, pursuing a bachelor's degree in an environmental or GIS-related field with coursework in environmental sciences, biology, ecology, archaeology or planning; or a recent graduate within 12 months of May 1, 2026. Candidates who have completed at least their junior year are highly preferred. SWCA is a 100% employee-owned environmental consulting firm with 45 years of experience. Paid internship at $19/hour in Tucson. All SWCA interns are paid at least $18/hour with higher rates by geographic location.
