GIS Intern

WorldFish, a CGIAR research center, is recruiting a GIS Intern based in Mandla District, Madhya Pradesh, India. The intern supports the sourcing, organization, management, and analysis of geospatial datasets that contribute to research and development projects across WorldFish's project countries. Key responsibilities include sourcing and processing spatial datasets, conducting data quality checks, supporting GIS analysis, producing thematic maps, and maintaining geospatial databases. Required qualifications include a diploma or degree in GIS, remote sensing, or a related field; practical experience with GIS software (QGIS or ArcGIS Pro); an understanding of core geospatial concepts; and strong written and spoken communication skills in English. Desirable skills include programming (R or Python), remote sensing, and open-source geospatial platforms. The internship runs until 31 December 2026, is open exclusively to Indian applicants, and provides a monthly stipend; interviews are expected in July 2026.
