Texas Southern University Bullard Center for Environmental and Climate Justice seeks a GIS Manager responsible for providing technical expertise and supervision for day-to-day implementation and operation of the GIS within the context of programs, research initiatives, and policy directives. The role involves managing research projects involving the collection, analysis, and dissemination of geospatial data, managing web-based/interactive GIS hardware and software including conducting evaluation of needs, licensing, and recommendations for system and data architecture. Additional duties include overseeing and providing technical guidance for GIS assistance and visualization for Bullard Center research projects, coordinating GIS data sharing and storage for external partners, and conducting research and development on new GIS-related products and procedures. Requires a Master's degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Epidemiology, Environmental Science, or related fields, plus five years of work experience in the GIS field. Proficiency with the full Esri software suite including ArcGIS Online and ESRI Server is required.
