GIS Solution Engineer - State and Local Government (Northwest)

Esri seeks a GIS expert who identifies appropriate analysis tools and creates innovative solutions while communicating GIS technology's value to stakeholders. The position involves joining an account team to address complex customer business challenges and demonstrate how GIS uncovers patterns and insights. Responsibilities: Present, demonstrate, and support selling Esri software and solutions as part of the account team. Develop expertise in state/local government applications and ArcGIS technology while anticipating customer needs. Design solutions demonstrating how GIS delivers business value to customers. Conduct technical demonstrations and present at conferences/trade shows for both technical and non-technical audiences. Required Qualifications: 2+ years with Esri technology (mapping, spatial analysis, web applications). 1+ years supporting state or local government. Understanding of ArcGIS from IT perspective (infrastructure, security, cloud computing). Technical consulting and solution design experience. Geodatabase and DBMS knowledge. Cloud computing familiarity (Azure or AWS). Strong presentation and interpersonal skills. 25-50% travel capability. Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, or related field. U.S. work authorization (no visa sponsorship available). Recommended Qualifications: Client issue troubleshooting ability. Software integration experience (data warehouses, BI, CRM, ERP). Real-time data stream integration knowledge. AI/machine learning understanding. Python and JavaScript experience. Master's degree in related field. Salary Range: $76,960–$126,880 USD.
