GIS Specialist (Assistant Staff Geospatial Scientist)

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a GIS Specialist for their Honolulu, Hawaii office with hybrid work options. The role involves preparing web maps for field staff, managing field data post-processing, creating map products using ArcGIS Pro, and maintaining geospatial databases. The specialist will communicate workload status to ensure on-time project delivery while contributing to a collaborative environment. A bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, or related field is mandatory. Applicants need one year of professional experience with GPS technology and data management, plus proficiency with ArcGIS Pro 3.x. Experience in environmental consulting with federal/state agencies is highly desirable. Preferred qualifications include completed full project cycles from fieldwork through analysis, familiarity with Python, database schemas, and Hawaiian language and place names.
